I love this but am certain whether to order the wood base or canvas. On another piece of art, a (not this artist) a buyer said wood was not solid maple as advertised but raw edges showed rough raw plywood. Canvas option says glossy recommended, why? I think the sheen would take away from the piece. Stacey, I would love to order a large version of this but looking for advice as so which mount. Thank you.

Hello Diane, If it were me I would go for the canvas print. As far as the finish goes, I personally don't think the glossy finish would detract from the piece if it is a satin sheen as opposed to a high gloss sheen. I did varnish the original painting with gloss varnish (as I do all of my paintings) and my client loved the finished piece. I suggest you pose the question to Fine Art America on whether the gloss means Super high gloss or satin gloss. I checked on my past sales of prints on canvas and in every case the buyer went with the glossy finish. Also if for some reason you do not like it FAA has a thirty day money back guarantee. https://fineartamerica.com/moneybackguarantee.html I hope this information helps. Thanks so much for your interest in my art. -Stacey
